Frost Moon Festival @ Main Street Fayetteville, Ga
Nov 15 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Main Street Fayetteville’s first-ever Frost Moon Festival will be held Friday, November 15, 5-9 p.m. on the Historic Courthouse lawn. The event is co-hosted by Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

This late addition to the 2019 calendar is a make-up event for The Great Pumpkin Festival, which was cancelled due to inclement weather. Frost Moon Festival will include many of the same vendors and activities, and musical guest Phil & the Blanks will still provide live entertainment on the stage. Additional entertainment will be provided by dance and Tae Kwon Do groups.

“We were disappointed to cancel The Great Pumpkin Festival, which was shaping up to be a fantastic event,” said Main Street Program Manager Joyce Waits. “We all agreed it made sense to reschedule, but we needed to re-theme the event since it would take place after Halloween.”

Waits said it has yet to be determined if Frost Moon Festival becomes an annual event.

This first, if only, Frost Moon Festival will feature numerous artisans selling homemade and handcrafted creations, giving guests a great opportunity to get a bit of Christmas shopping started early. Several informational vendors have also been invited to join in the fun.

There will be plenty for younger guests to enjoy as well, including free inflatables, rock painting, face painting, hayrides, train rides and games. Available for a nominal charge will be balloon sculpting, sand art and spin art.

Rick’s Ribs will be serving up delicious eats to go along with more festival food such as kettle corn, fried Oreos, funnel cakes, and nachos.

Accentuating the fall festival theme, guests will find hay bale seating dotting the landscape, and fire pits offering warm places for friends to gather.

“We are grateful to our supporters, vendors and guests for being flexible to this new date for what we hope will be another great event,” Waits said. “And, of course, we’re hoping for nice, clear weather on that Friday night.”

Waits said there is a need for a few more volunteers to help work shifts at Frost Moon Festival. Those interested may call Julie Herbert at 770-719-4174.

Are YOU Faster Than a Superhero 5K Run/Walk @ Fayetteville Elementary School
Nov 16 @ 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

Lydia is a smart, funny, kind, energetic 10 year old whirlwind of a little girl. She loves the outdoors, drawing, books, her friends, her family and, especially, her little brother. We love having her around as she is always willing to help out at our events and she brings a smile to everyone’s face with her humor. Lydia was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the beginning of July and less than a week later she had surgery to get it removed. Unfortunately, due to its location, the whole tumor was unable to be removed. At this time, they also discovered that the tumor was cancerous. Lydia named her tumor Billy and #BeatBilly and #BlasttheBlastoma were born.

Before being officially diagnosed, Lydia was still able to rock at everything she does, even if some things were a little harder. She ran the 5K at her school, Fayetteville Elementary, and came in her first place in her age group!!! We now invite you to participate in our Are YOU Faster Than a Superhero 5K and challenge you to beat Lydia’s first place time!. If she can do it with a brain tumor, so can you!

So come and support the Kilburg family and prove that you can be as fast as a superhero! Dress up in your favorite superhero costume, bring your dog, and come have a blast as we all work together to BLAST THE BLASTOMA

Want to run with friends or coworkers? Register as a group to receive a discount if running with more than 10 individuals. Unable to make it in person but still want to show your support? Register as a virtual runner!

Sponsorships are also available! Please email for information and with any questions.

All proceeds from the race will go towards Lydia’s family. Brain tumors are expensive and we are working to alleviate some of the financial stress so that her parents can solely focus on helping Lydia through treatment.
