About Startup Fayette
Startup Fayette provides startups and entrepreneurs on the south side of Atlanta access to the education and training they need to succeed. Our mission is to create an ecosystem in Fayette County and the surrounding area that catalyzes innovation and growth through entrepreneurial startups.
In 2014, the community-based Fayette Visioning plan was revealed with more than 100 recommendations on taking Fayette County to the next level. One of the recommendations to build the economy was to launch an initiative to support tech startups. The Fayette Chamber of Commerce became the implementation partner and launched StartUp Fayette in 2017 with three networking meetings. The target business group of tech was expanded to include creatives and other non-traditional business models.
In 2018, StartUp Fayette will offer monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday evenings focused on best practices and inspiration with a little bit of networking thrown in for fun. Also slated for 2018 is a mentoring program. In 2019, our goal is to host a summit and launch a program that helps future entrepreneurs “perk” their ideas in a well-supported mentoring environment.
